Fitzroy Primary School implements inquiry based learning that is student centred, follows the natural process of inquiry, and builds on students’ ability to gather and process information, and solve authentic problems within the context of global citizenship.
The focus is on ‘how we know’ rather than ‘what we know’ with students actively involved in the construction of their knowledge. Student voice drives the learning through questioning and follows the process of exploration, investigation and searching for answers. Students become lifelong learners who have a voice, can influence change and engage with their world in the 21st Century.
